Wat doe je als Business development engineer

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for automation solutions in specific market segments.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in the segment you’re responsible for.
Provide technical support and product training to customers and partners to ensure successful implementation and usage of
our automation solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure effective sales
strategies and customer satisfaction.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Build a strong partner network.
Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical papers to customers and partners.
Manage and track sales activities, forecasts, and pipelines.
Provide regular sales reports and insights to senior management to inform business decisions.
Travel up to 50% of the time, domestically and internationally, to meet with customers and partners.

Gewenste profiel

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales in the automation market.
Strong technical knowledge of automation solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Proven track record of success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and identify trends.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a high level of self-motivation and a results-driven approach.
Fluency in English is required, with additional languages a plus.
