Wat doe je als Procurement Manager

Translating the company's mission & vision into a Procurement strategy and - plan for the upcoming years;
Making an analytical evaluation to assess the current organization and optimizing and automating where possible;
Efficiently organizing his/her department and creating a structure with a continuous emphasis on quality and profitability;
Integrating Procurement organizations of recent acquisitions;
Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with international suppliers, mostly in the Benelux, France and Germany;
Being aware of market trends, price evolutions and carrying out market analyzes;
Analyzing and segmenting current suppliers and looking for new suppliers;
Formalizing and strengthening the existing legal and regulatory framework;
Supervising and monitoring the quality of the products, the procurement conditions and margin offsets for the Buyers;
Ensuring that sustainability is considered in the Procurement Strategy and is act upon at every step in the procurement processes;
Managing the digitalization of the procurement processes;
Leading, coaching and further developing a diverse team of Buyers with different backgrounds and creating success(ion) within the team;
Building and maintaining relationships with various internal stakeholders such as the commercial and production teams.

Gewenste profiel

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Procurement role, ideally both with packaging as raw materials;
Experience with professionalizing a Procurement organization;
Ideally, a first experience with managing a team of Buyers. If not, the potential to manage a team is must;
Track-record in a family-owned, agile company or in a larger, corporate company with a desire to switch to a more entrepreneurial context;
Experience within the broader chemical industry and/or the food industry. Experience within the soap and detergent industry is a plus.
